Summary Introduction
To describe: Type I, Type II, and Type III survivorship curves and explain how life tables and survivorship curves indicate mortality and survival.
Introduction: The ability of individuals to survive and reproduce is affected by the given life history traits of that population. An individual species is called fit when it reproduces successfully and makes a genetic contribution to the future generation. The probability of an individual to survive until a particular age is known as survivorship. Survivorship curve refers to plotting the logarithm of the number of survivors to their total life span.
