Introduction:
There are majorly two kinds of transports present: passive transport as well as active transport. Passive transport comprises of the diffusion, that is, transport of ions from an area of higher to lower concentration. Other is facilitated diffusion which is movement of large and charged molecules and osmosis is the movement of water molecules via a semipermeable membrane. Active transport takes place against the concentration gradient with energy expenditure.
