Concept introduction:
The microorganisms reproduce both sexually and asexually. Sexual method of reproduction involves fusion of male and female gametes the progeny developed is not identical to any one parent. But the most commonly used method is asexual reproduction that includes binary fission, and budding. The progeny formed by this reproduction is genetically identical to its parent.
