Schedule development tools and concepts:
Gantt Charts:
- A Gantt chart is a type of bar chart that is used for projects in which activities are plotted against the time schedule, from start date to end date of the given activity.
- Terminal elements as well as summary elements comprise the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) of the project.
- Some Gantt charts can be used to represent the dependency relationships between activities.

Critical Path Method (CPM):
- Critical path is referred to as the longest path through the activity network, which enables completion of all project-related activities.
- Based on the logic of workflow, there may be more than one Critical Path.
- CPM is used in project management for identifying the activities of bottleneck and allocating resources accordingly.
PERT:
- PERT stands for Program Evaluation and Review Technique.
- A PERT chart is referred to as a project management tool that is used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project.
