Credit Card Numbers Credit cards issued by American Express have 15-digit card numbers. The first two digits are either 34 or 37, digits 3 and 4 identify the currency, digits 5 through 11 identify the account, digits 12 through 14 identify the card within the account, and the last digit is a “check digit” determined by the digits that precede it.15
a. Your company, BuyersXplosion, Inc., has an account at American Express. How many different cards issued to BuyersXplosion’s account are possible based on U.S. dollars and Mexican pesos?
