Summary Introduction
A unicellular organism that lacks mitochondria, membrane-bound nucleus and other membrane-bound organelle are called as a prokaryote. The prokaryotes is divided into two domains includes Archaea and Bacteria. The third domain is the eukaryotes in which the species with organelles and nuclei. All the intracellular water soluble components such as metabolites, DNA and proteins in the prokaryotes placed together in the cytoplasm.
