Chapter 8.4, Problem 1EQ
Summary Introduction
To predict: The purpose of research done by Calvin and his colleagues.
Introduction: The Calvin cycle utilizes the energy produced by the light-dependent reaction into synthesizing carbohydrates from carbon dioxide. The NADPH acts as a reducing agent that adds the high energy electrons to the carbon dioxide molecule to form polysaccharide (glucose).

EDTA was used as photophosphorylation uncoupler/inhibitor of ATP synthesis. What is EDTA and what is its mode of uncoupling? What is its mode of uncoupling in cholorplast?
I know EDTA is ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and is a chelating agent. I do not understand how to answer the question on its mode of uncoupling.
