Introduction:
The articular disc is a thin, fibrocartilage oval plate that is located between the joints and separates the synovial cavities. The synovial cavity space formed allows the various movements to occur. The temporomandibular joint is a type of hinge joint and is located anterior to the ear, while the sternoclavicular joint is a saddle joint found between the trapezium and metacarpal I joints.
