Program Plan Intro

Word Frequency

Program plan:

  • • Declare a function named “wordfrequency()”.
    • ○ Create an empty dictionary “wDictionary”.
    • ○ Prompt the user for the input file and assign it to “infile”.
    • ○ Open the file in read mode using a handle “fileRead”.
    • ○ Use “for” to iterate the file and strip the lines using “strip()”.
    • ○ Use another “for” loop to iterate the lines and split each line into words using “split”.
    • ○ Use an “if” statement to check whether the word is present in the dictionary keys. When the statement returns true, add the word to the dictionary increment and increment its count; otherwise set its count to “1”.
    • ○ Prompt the user for the output file and assign it to “outfile”.
    • ○ Open the file in the write mode using a handle “fileWrite”.
    • ○ Use a “for” loop to iterate the dictionary and write the word and its frequency to the output file and also print the same in the console.
  • • In the “main()” function,
    • ○ Call the function “wordfrequency()”.
  • • Finally, call the “main()” to execute the program.

Word FrequencyWrite a python program that reads the contents of a text file. The program should create a dictio-nary inwhich the keys are the individual words found in the file and the values are the number of timeseach word appears. For example, if the word “the” appears 128 times, the dictionary wouldcontain an element with 'the' as the key and 128 as the value. The program should eitherdisplay the frequency of each word or create a second file containing a list of each word and itsfrequency.

URGENT: Python Expense Management: This system will add, deduct, update, sort, and export expenses to a file. The program will initially load a collection of expenses from a .txt file and store them in a dictionary. All of the necessary functions and unit testing are provided below in expenses.py, expenses_test.py, and expenses.txt: expnses.py: def import_expenses(file): '''Reads data from a given file and stores the expenses in a dictionary, where the expense type is the key and the total expense amount for that expense is the value. The same expense type may appear multiple times in the file. Ignores expenses with missing or invalid amounts.''' # create empty dict expenses = {} #TODO insert your code return expenses def get_expense(expenses, expense_type): '''Returns the value for the given expense type in the given expenses dictionary. Prints a friendly message and returns None if the expense type doesn't exist.''' # TODO insert your code def add_expense(expenses,…
