Report
Tight End Strike After reviewing all of the options we have decided to support option 1 and reject the tight ends request for an additional two-credit increase in salary. Our decision was reached together by a combination of strategic considerations and the impact we believe this choice will have on our franchise. The first thing we acknowledged was that our tight end performance this year has not been a significant contributor to our team's success this season. Our team overall has been doing very well in every area besides the tight end position, it is our weakest link. The proposed strike of tight ends would not severely affect our current gameplay, as we have not heavily relied on them for scoring and have still won almost every game and we still are near the top of the leaderboards. On top of this we have observed that some of our competitors have tight ends who are scoring a lot of points such as Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews. These tight ends have proven to be a huge factor in the number of points their teams get. By rejecting the salary increase demand and supporting the strike, we believe we can level the playing field even further. We think that it may weaken the performance of other teams that have previously benefited from their tight ends while not affecting us negatively at all which will end in a positive impact for our team. This strategic move could give us a competitive advantage because we are already used to not winning off
relying on tight end, even if it means sacrificing some tight end performance for the short term. In terms of league deliberations, we understand that option 1 comes with the risk of a strike which could last for weeks. However, we are willing to take this risk given the potential long-term benefits for our franchise. We believe that after a few weeks of strike action there is a growing likelihood that the tight ends union will reconsider its position. By the fourth week, there is a 1/6 chance of the union caving. This outcome aligns with our strategic objectives, as it could force the union to compromise. In conclusion, our franchise supports option 1 to deny the tight end request as we believe it offers us a unique opportunity for us by disrupting the performance of teams with strong tight ends. While we are willing to endure the initial disruption, we are remaining optimistic about the potential long-term advantages this decision may bring to our team. Our motivation is to enhance our competitiveness within the league and potentially improve our overall standing in the future.
