Cassandra Catucci’s article “Best practices when using technology” has given me great insight into making technology comfortable in a teaching environment. I feel the three current practices that can be improved using technology are spicing it up, by keeping flexibility in mind and giving feedback. There are so many ways to use technology to make lessons more fun and interactive. Nowadays it is very hard to keep students engaged, by constantly keeping the lessons exciting using different types of technology it ensures the students will learn and be involved. Another current practice that can be used is keeping flexibility in mind. Sometimes issues may arise when teaching a lesson, always have a backup activity or lesson. Be open to adapting. This will ensure the students will learn regardless of mishaps. The final practice that can be improved through
the use of technology is by giving time for feedback. Always leave time for feedback. The students will value that you care about their feedback, and this will increase students'
enthusiasm for the course material. This feedback will also show if the lesson you taught is a lesson to keep teaching. 2.
There are three methods that I now use that impact learning and engagement. They are classroom culture, communicating the objectives, and encouraging collaboration. Utilizing technology in the classroom and showing my students I am comfortable using the technology is the major key to making the students feel comfortable. This ties into knowing how to use the technology inside and out. If I show the students, I know what I'm doing then the students will feel secure about using it as well. Communicating the objectives is a major key when using the chosen technology. Students can concentrate on the class and are more likely to feel driven to meet these goals when they know the objectives. For example, we just started using a program called Blooket. It’s a new game where you can steal money from other players (students) by answering questions. For example, last week the topic was fractions. The students were nervous at first because they did not know how to use the program. The teachers in the room learned the game inside out so they were able to explain it and help the students. The students ended up loving the game and they were learning so much without even realizing they were. This is
a prime example of using technology by communicating the objectives. The final one I use in the classroom a lot is encouraging collaboration. Collaboration is so important because it helps students interact with each other while using technology. This is a better way to learn because the students can get feedback from each other. In the classroom i work in we are constantly using collaboration.
3. The unit I am going to design in my digital classroom is learning how to write a persuasive
essay. First, we will learn how to write a thesis statement, then an introduction, then how to write
three supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. We will use examples from previous students essays to help show how to write a persuasive essay. The state standards I will be using are 4W1:
Write an argument to support claim(s), using clear reasons and relevant evidence. 4W1a: Introduce a precise claim, supported by well-organized facts and details, and organize the reasons and evidence logically. 4W1b: Use precise language and content-specific vocabulary. 4W1c: Use transitional words and phrases to connect ideas within categories of information. 4W1d: Provide a concluding statement or section related to the argument presented. By the end of the unit students will be able to create their own persuasive essay. Insightful Questions:
1.
What do you feel is the most important practice used when using technology in your classroom?
2.
Do you agree that Covid had a major impact on how technology in education is used today? Why or why not?
3.
Do you believe Google Classroom is a great tool to utilize when you start teaching in your classroom? If so, give reasons why?

Could someone please help me with a reply to my classmate reponse. Here is the question: Learning Activity #1 One of the most important items that we have discussed over the course of the semester is the concept that ethics are constantly changing and shifting. This week think about some of the material in the readings, and discuss if it is fair for a company to have one set of ethics when you join, and later force you to agree to a different ethics policy later on in your tenure? Taking this concept one step further, should the ethical decisions that one makes 10, 20, or even 30 years ago, which at the time may have been ethical, but now appear to be unethical be used as a way to make that individual (or company) appear to be an unethical actor? Make sure you support your answers. Students should plan on having initial postings completed by Thursday evenings, and submit responses to at least two other student postings by Sunday evening. Here is my answer: These two ethics theories…

Steven Spear is author of the 2008 book, Chasing the Rabbit and 2010 book, The High Velocity Edge. Though it doesn’t address it directly, Spear’s work on high-velocity learning organizations is important when considering workplace culture because it relates:
How some organizations are able to perform better than others through learning.
How some organizations are able to confront what norms are accepted and question why and how they are doing work.
How the best performing organizations don’t get mired down in debate. Instead they focus on operations.
How high velocity organizations always have good workplace cultures.

Can you provide a respond to this and ask any question about it?
As the week concludes, reflecting on the course prompts considerations about its robustness and relevance to our professional journeys. To enhance its efficacy, incorporating more real-world case studies and practical applications could make the content more meaningful to our respective fields. Practical exercises that simulate scenarios encountered in our workplaces would bridge the gap between theory and application, fostering a deeper understanding of the concepts.
Aligning course content with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies ensures that the skills acquired remain relevant in the dynamic job market.
Engaging in discussions and peer-to-peer learning is essential to comprehensively understanding diverse perspectives and approaches so I appreciated that aspect as I do for each AMU course. If tasked with teaching this course, I would emphasize real-world problem-solving, incorporate more video from…

“The Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) is a methodology for managing training programs. It is an orderly; logical approach to determining what people must know and do at a particular job or in a specific profession” (Dhawan, 2018, p.1). This approach is focusing on core objectives and “end in mind” to ensure that employees can master the main takeaways upon completion of the training in order to function properly.
Pros to systematic training:
“Organized Approach
Clarity and Responsibility
Recognizing the Student’s Abilities
Hands-On Design” (Katchi, 2015, para.8).
Some of the cons of systematic approaches are lack of adaptability, flexibility within the process, being able to change the structure on a moment’s notice or exercise innovative approaches to training.
Please provide examples of systematic or any other training methods that are currently in place within your organization and analyze its pros and cons.
