Independent variable: Type of treatment for each group. Dependent variable: Social anxiety scores before and after treatment. c. How are confounds minimized in this design? Explain your answer. Confounds are minimized through random assignment, ensuring groups are similar. Unbiased measurement reduces data collection bias. d. Can the doctor conclude that the treatment administered to Group 3 caused a reduction in social anxiety? Justify your answer. The doctor cannot definitively conclude causation based on this alone. Further experiments and control measures are needed to establish a causal relationship.
