Do you feel that you get purpose from SECO’s purpose and values? Describe what gives you purpose and how can you leverage that for our members? Yes I feel that I get and demonstrate the purpose from SECO’s purpose and values. One thing that I have always strived for in my years of customer service is to always give exceptional service. I was very happy when I started working for SECO 4 years ago and saw that one of the things that they strive for was exceptional customer service to not only to our members but to our co-workers as well. Having dealt with members both on the phone and in person has shown me that every member deserves the best service, to have their issues resolve. I know that at times especially when dealing with different members that this may not always be easy, but giving them exceptional service will always make a customer more appreciated. In my job I have always demonstrated honesty and integrity, which is something that I believe strongly on and something that I have tried to always enforce here at work and at home. I feel that my honesty is shown with my dealing at the front counter and with my co – worker. Always giving the right information, and answering all questions …show more content…
I am always willing to learn different aspect of the job, which in turn makes me a better-rounded individual. I always believe that knowledge is power and what you learn will only help you to function better at your job. When I am at work my job is always first and foremost in my mind. As well as this, I am able to voice my opinions and viewpoints, which I consider to be one of the most important qualities. Along with all of those traits, my experiences have provided me the capacity to cooperate and communicate with a variety of people is also essential.
Integrity is more than being honest. Integrity is one of the values employers look for when selecting employees; a person with integrity carries their values with them in everything they do. To act in a manner that is morally and legally right is being a leader or person of integrity. This type of leader is consistent in doing what is right, legally and morally (Dees, 2014). One a person loses their integrity, it is almost impossible to get it back. Linnartz (2012) said integrity can be understood by how well we live and meaningfully connect our values into our daily life and work. Having integrity and having a leadership philosophy in line with good personal values will improve the relationship a leader has with colleagues. Having a leader that lacks integrity is a recipe for workplace chaos or conflict. According to Schachter (2013), a leader with integrity will walk the talk; their deeds match their words. The leader will be honest, moral, and
I am a committed hard worker and I will do everything in my power to ensure that I deliver effective results and better myself in the process. Including, finding resolutions to the problems that encounter in the workplace and encouraging my co-workers promoting team efforts to achieve our departments and organizational goals’.
I work diligently to treat others with utmost respect regardless of whether I agree with their point of view. By taking the time to establish authentic relationships with individual staff members, I am better able to understand their unique perspectives, needs, and concerns. Additionally, because I tailor my leadership approach to fit individuals and situations I am able to ensure the best possible outcomes. As a participative leader I look to others for input before I make decisions that will impact the group as a whole and I strive to motivate and inspire others so that they can gain professional fulfillment through autonomous practice. Finally, I believe that when individuals feel empowered and valued they develop pride in their work and are more willing to make meaningful contributions toward team goals.
Honesty is something I value in another person, and I have struggled with service users who haven’t been honest about something. I have tried hard to understand the reasons why someone would not be honest with me. Usually after I have spoken to another member of staff, and heard their input and theories I can begin to see why and move on from the incident.
heard my parents say many times growing up that “ you are as good as your word” and the older i have gotten the more I see how true that saying is. If you are honest that shows others that you meet in your life that you can be trusted. Thomas Jefferson stated that "Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.” Meaning that is one of the first traits out of a personality perspective, to have.
It is important for me to be honest to myself and to others. Honesty is another code of ethic that is dear to me. Honesty to me

Having a high standard of personal integrity and honesty will really help prepare one for employment in the justice field in many different ways. Integrity and honesty is one of the most important requirements for any criminal justice career. It is extremely important to know what is right and wrong and to be honest no matter what the consequences if you are planning on entering the justice field, especially a police officer. Police officers must commit to the highest moral and ethical standards, they can't be prejudice or favor someone without knowing every single detail, must show good personal conduct, have high integrity on and off duty, and plenty more. One major reason to have a high standard of integrity and honesty at all times is because if you are a person who has ever been in trouble for something that showed you had been dishonest (such as theft, cheating, lying, and more) and you apply for a job in the justice field, they will most likely find it no matter how off your record it supposedly is and you will not be hired. In their minds they are most likely thinking that if you could be dishonest once then you can be dishonest again and they don't want someone likely that employed with them. Another reason to have a high standard of integrity and honesty at all times would be because if you were able
In addition, listening to customers can result in increased quality and product innovation. Organizations need to heed what their customers are saying about their products and/or services because, as I said in the beginning there would be no business without customers. Customer centered excellence is a way of building a competitive advantage and growing your market share.
C.S. Lewis defined integrity as doing the right thing when no one is looking. That has been one of my greatest lessons as a professional and as a small business owner.
Honesty plays a vital role in my personal code of ethics requiring integrity, especially in dealing with those near and dear to me. Integrity plays a vital role in my ability to hold myself accountable for any decisions or actions I make.
I approach all work activities with focus to ensure that each task is completed correctly, efficiently, and effectively. I seek and learn new information to keep up to date with skill requirements and technological innovations. Commended for displaying a good attitude, working hard, and setting and achieving personal goals.
They will also be confident that I will conduct myself with open communication both inside and outside of the company, treat my customers and clients fairly and not mislead anyone with bad information or unrealistic expectations. Honesty will help me be a good colleague to my co-workers because I will give them proper credit for the things that they accomplish.
I was raised in a loving and caring home with the most wonderful parents. They introduced to me many core values that I am very grateful for. Three values that I feel are the most important values I possess are honesty, achievement, and family. I strive to be honest at all times, whether it be with friends, family, employers, customers, clients, etc. This allows me to build a strong relationship fundamentally based on trust with people. People have to be able to trust me so that they are comfortable with talking to me and being close to me. This is especially essential for client relationships and will allow me to be successful in my career. Being honest promotes a positive presence, mindset, and behavior. My current job is helping customers with their cell phones plans. I have to be able to suggest the best solution possible for the customer while bringing in the most revenue for the company. Many times these two things conflict. I am always brutally honest with my customers by giving them all their options and my recommendation. I care about making the company money but not at the expense of my customers. I refuse to bind them to agreements to phone carriers that make them pay much more than they have too. My employers are very aware of my work ethic but they cannot obligate me to change my ways because I still hit my performance every month.
