Summary Introduction
To analyze:
The false statement of "skeletal muscle fibers are so long they must be stimulated by several nerve fibers along their length to contract effectively" should be explained and reword to make it true.
Introduction:
Skeletal muscle is defined as a voluntary striated muscle that's attached to one or more bones. A typical skeletal muscle cell about 100μm long and some are thick as 500μm and long as 30cm. Due to their significant length, they called as muscle fibers/ myofibers. The contractions happen due to stimulation by a nerve and skeletal muscles are innervated by somatic motor neurons.
