Introduction:
Two-component signal transduction is a coupling mechanism which allows organisms to recognize and respond to change in environmental conditions. It contains a membrane-bound histidine kinase (HK) which can recognize a specific environmental stimulus as well as a response regulator (RR) that provides cellular response with the help of target genes. They are most common in gram-negative bacteria and cyanobacteria while are less common in archaea and eukaryotes. Â
