The team designed a study in which a total of 30 subscribers were chosen. The subscribers were randomly assigned to one of the three messaging systems so that there were five subscribers in each of the six combinations of the two factors—messaging system and media used. Measurements were taken on the updated time. Table AMS11.2 summarizes the results.Completely analyze these data and write a report to the team that indicates the importance of each of the two factors and/or the interaction between them on the length of the call. Include recommendations for future experiments to perform.
You may use two way anova using excel for the statistical test. Also, please answer the following questions:”
1. What is the null and alternate hypothesis of the problem?
2. Make decision and state the conclusion.
In an observational study, it was noticed that people that eat more chocolate tend to have better blood flow than the general population. Researchers wonder whether the improved blood flow might be caused by flavanols (a molecule found in many foods). Dark chocolate contains a high concentration of flavanols, but milk chocolate contains a much lower concentration. How could the researchers design an experiment to determine the effects of flavanol on blood flow from the different types of chocolate?
A survey of high school students was done to examine whether students had ever driven a car after consuming a substantial amount of alcohol (1=yes, 0=no). Data was collected on their sex (male/female), race (White/non-White), and grade level (9,10,11,12). Researchers realized that the impact of race on consuming alcohol before driving might vary by grade level and decided to fit the following model.
Compute the OR of drinking before driving for students who self-reported as Black versus non-Black in the 9th grade, adjusting for gender.
Hello, thank you for helping me out with this. I'm just confused about the concept of adjusting for gender in this case. I am not sure if I should plug in 0 and 1 for the gender and report those out separately or if I should take both odds ratios and divide them?
