Solubility is a property of a substance in its solid or liquid or gaseous state called the solute to dissolve in a liquid (also dissolved in solid or gas) called the solvent.
The solubility of any substance can be explained by the intermolecular force of attraction between the solute and the solvent.
The more the intermolecular force of attraction between the solute and the solvent, the more the solubility of the solute.
