Chapter 11, Problem 8RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The construction of lentivector in gene therapy to avoid virus replication.
Introduction:
Gene therapy is the technique that is designed to introduce genes to treat or to prevent diseases by replacing the disease-causing gene with a healthy copy of the gene. In gene therapy, genes are used to treat the disease instead of drugs. The gene of interest is transported from one organism to the other by means of a vector. The viruses that establish their replication cycle in the host nucleus are also used to transport the gene of interest.
