Introduction:
Viruses show tropism by infecting certain cell types present in some animals. This property is largely due to the receptor specific attachment of viruses to host cell surface. The interaction of the virus with the host cell cytoplasm also affects the viral specificity as certain non-host cells do not possess the machinery required for genome replication and translation of specific viruses.
