# Intersection of Two Planes Describe a method of finding the line of intersection of two Planes

A method for determining the line of intersection of two planes.

Explanation

To determine the line of intersection of two planes, simultaneously solve the two linear equations representing the planes and substitute the values back into one of the original equations.

Then, obtain the parametric equations for the line of intersection by assuming a suitable value for t.

For example, to determine the line of intersection of two planes x3y+2z=0 and 2xy2z=0 first solve the two equations simultaneously as,

Multiply second equation by 3 and then subtract first equation from it as,

6x3y6z=0x+3y2z=0       5x8z=0

Further,

5x8z=05x=8zx=8z5
