Summary Introduction
Generally microorganisms are used as hosts for cloning techniques. It is easy to grow microorganisms in the laboratories and transform with modified DNA. The hosts should be genetically stable and have enzymes to facilitate replication of the inserted vector. E. coli, Bacillus subtilis, and S. cerevisiae are mostly used as hosts.
