A micrometer is used to make very precise measurements of small objects. Its least count is 0.01 mm. As the name suggests, the length of a meterstick is 1 m. its least count is 1 mm.
A new meterstick will not make a precise and accurate measurement as compared to a micrometer. Since, micrometer is badly bent, it should not be used. Then, a more accurate measurement can be done by a new meterstick only.
