Introduction:
Upward and downward communication can also be derived as vertical communication, which is information passed from the higher levels of the hierarchy to the lower levels and vice versa. Whereas horizontal communication would be information exchanged with your subordinates or people working in the same division/department.
Formal communication channels can be derived as the channels that are used within the business’s chain of command/hierarchy.
