Introduction:

The technique of separating DNA fragments based on their size is termed as gel electrophoresis. In this technique, DNA samples are added to well at the end of the gel. Then, electric current is applied through the gel. As DNA is negatively charged, DNA fragments go towards the positive electrode.

Explanation of Solution

There are various species for mosquitoes. Every species has its own DNA structure and any of the specie can be fatal for human beings. So, if researchers find any such fatal specie of mosquito, then they can find cure for bite of such mosquitoes. Moreover, knowing which mosquito bit which individual will help in knowing if each specie has some kind of attraction to gender, blood group, location, or body type of the person.
