To review:
The main micronutrients of large intestine synthesized by bacteria.
Introduction:
Micronutrients are the nutrients that are required by the body in very minute quantities. Dietary minerals and vitamins are some of the micronutrients that play important role in physiological functioning and maintains the health of the individual.
Alimentary canal or GI tract (gastrointestinal tract) is the digestive tract that includes various organs starting from mouth and ending at large intestine. It is thicker in diameter than small intestine but has shorter length. It is divided into cecum, appendix, colon, rectum, and anal canal. It primarily functions to absorb nutrients like vitamins and water. It stores the compacted fecal matter and discharges through anus by the process of defecation.
