Explanation

The given function is, f(x,y)=e1(xy).

Use online calculator and sketch the graph of f(x,y)=e1(xy) as shown below in Figure 1.

From Figure 1, it is noted that the given function is not continuous along the line y=x and hence the break occurs in the graph.

So, it can be concluded that the function is discontinuous on the line y=x
