Chapter 15, Problem 19RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The structure innervated by parasympathetic nerves originating from the sacral region of the parasympathetic division.
Introduction:
The parasympathetic division of autonomic nervous system is responsible for resting as well as digestion activities. It conserves body energy and stimulates housekeeping activities such as digestion, defecation, and urination among others. The neurons that perform parasympathetic functions originate from the brain and the sacral region of the spinal cord.
