Chapter 15, Problem 6bCP
Summary Introduction
To review:
The term cytokines, their origin, and functions.
Introduction:
The adaptive immunity of a body is regulated by B (bursa of Fabricius) and T (thymus) lymphocytes. B lymphocytes produce antibodies that bind to specific antigens or foreign bodies, and the T lymphocytes help the B lymphocytes in the production of antibodies. They also destroy the invading or victim cells of the body through phagocytosis.
