Eyelids protect the eyes anteriorly. The several types of glands present in eyelids like tarsal glands, sweat glands have conjunctiva that covers the inner surface of eyelids. The eye is a sensory organ that provides vision in different intensities of light. The receptors that are present in the retinal layer of the eye are known as photoreceptors. The photoreceptors are of two types, that is, the rod and cone cells.
