Introduction:

The light rays coming from a distant point are parallel to one another as they reach the eye whereas, the light rays coming from a nearby point diverge as they enter the eye. The cornea of the eye regulates the entering of various light intensities and they reflect the light onto the lens to produce vision. The rod and the cone cells are the photoreceptors that are present in the retinal layer of the eye.
