Concept explainers
In what sense is it correct to say that much of a tree is solidified air?
To explain: The concept for tree to be considered as solidified air.
Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Photosynthesis is a phenomenon in which plants absorbs sunlight and convert it into the organic compounds (glucose). In simple words, it is a process of preparing food for plants.
Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the air. Plants require carbon dioxide to perform photosynthesis process. Without carbon dioxide, plants could not prepare their food. Hence trees are called as solidified air. Because plants absorb air and convert into glucose.
Conclusion:
Thus, trees can be called as solidified air
