An unwanted reaction that develops by the immune system is termed as “hypersensitivity”. Hypersensitivity reactions formed when the activity of the immune system is overreactive or excessive. It involves allergy and autoimmunity. Hypersensitivity is of four types, that are type I hypersensitivity, type II hypersensitivity, type III hypersensitivity and type IV hypersensitivity.
