Lymphocytes are the type of the white blood cells which carries the response of the adaptive immunity. Lymphocytes present in the body are of two types B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes. B lymphocytes originate and differentiate in the red bone marrow whereas T lymphocytes originate in the red bone marrow but their development takes place in the thymus.
