Human Herpes Virus (HHV) virus infects the lining of the mucous membranes of mouth and genitals. This virus has surface glycoproteins, which adhere to the membranes of the cells of the human body leading to infection. The virus fuses with the membrane of the human cells leading to the intake of the virus inside the cell.
