Opportunistic pathogens are those organisms which normally harbor on a human body or does not cause disease in humans. But under certain circumstances, like weakened immunity, they breached integumentary layer and caused infections. Example of opportunistic infection is candidasis caused by an opportunistic pathogen, Candida albicans.
