Chapter 19.4, Problem 2LO
Summary Introduction
To determine: The difference between reproductive and therapeutic cloning.
Introduction: Polyploidy occurs when the cells undergokaryokinesis (a division of nucleus) but fail to undergo cytokinesis (a division of cytoplasm). This results in an increase in the haploid sets of chromosomes in the cells. The polyploidy might give rise to triploid, tetraploid, and hexaploid organisms.
