Chapter 2, Problem 9TYR
Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Carbohydrates are more soluble in nature; it has a general molecular formula (CH2O) n. It has more than 2 carbon atoms. All carbohydrates are not sugars. Based on the presence of carbon atoms, carbohydrates are classified as monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides. Carbohydrates give more and instant energy than any other fats and proteins. Usually, carbohydrates are more branched compared to proteins, so there is plenty of energy stored in liver and muscle as glycogen. Liver glycogen gives more energy than muscle glycogen.
