Question
Chapter 22, Problem 22.27UKC
Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
The given set of events should be arranged based on the sequence events occur after having meal.
Concept Introduction:
Digestion: It is change the chemical composition of food with the aid of digestive enzymes.
- 1. Carbohydrate
- 2. Protein
- 3. Lipid
Digestive enzymes are special proteins that help break up large molecules of food into very little molecules that can be absorbed and used in the cell.
Blood glucose level: If the glucose level is above normal the pancreases will sense this and excrete more insulin into the liver. The liver is converted glucose to glycogen.
If the glucose level is below normal, the pancreases will secrete more glucagon which converts glycogen to glucose, after that bring the glucose up to the original level.
