A plant is an organism that is composed of many cells. They are generally found on land but some plants are also found in water. There are various basis and parameters on which plants can be classified. On the basis of parts of a plant, a plant can be classified in two parts. They are the underground part or roots and an aerial part or the part that is found in air called the shoot.
