Chapter 22.2, Problem 11AYLO
Summary Introduction
To discuss:
How bronchodilation, bronchoconstriction, pulmonary compliance, alveolar surfactant affects pulmonary ventilation.
Introduction:
Pulmonary ventilation is also called as breathing. It is combined process of inhalation and exhalation. Inhalation is breathing in where oxygen enters the lungs and exhalation is breathing out where carbon dioxide is removed from the lungs. The air flows inside and out of the lungs because of the pressure gradient created between the atmospheric air and the lungs.
