Chapter 22.3, Problem 15BYGO
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Respiration is also referred to as breathing is an important process that includes inhalation and exhalation which facilitates the exchange of gases especially oxygen and carbon dioxide. Alveoli are small sacs within the lungs that are mainly involved in gaseous exchange. Gaseous exchange is a process wherein gases diffuse across a biological membrane. The exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between and the lungs occurs during this process.
