Tonsils are the pair of patches of soft lymphatic tissue masses that are located at the entrance of pharynx. tonsils. These guard the pharynx against the invading or inhaled pathogen. Tonsillar crypts are the pits of epithelium layer that contain dead leucocytes, bacteria, antigenic chemicals, and the food debris.
