Carbohydrates are organic compounds that have molecular formula as Cn (H2O) n. They are important in energy reservation of our body. They are classified as monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides based on the presence of sugar molecules present in it.
The structural differences between the three monosaccharides, disaccharides, and polysaccharides are based on the number of carbon atoms present in it.
