Introduction:

Industrial fermentation is a process which uses microbes for large-scale growth to produce desired compound. It is of two types, namely batch production and continuous flow production. During fermentation, when all substrates are fermented by the organism until they are exhausted and a final product is formed, it is called batch production. When new medium is continuously added while the products and wastes are removed simultaneously, it is called continuous flow production.
