Interpretation Introduction
Interpretation:
Characteristics in the left column are to be matched with that of the given hormones.
Concept introduction:
Hormones are the chemical messengers secreted by the endocrine organs. Hormones travel via the bloodstream to their target organs. They have different chemical structures, based upon which they are divided into three types, eicosanoids, steroids, and amino acid. Hormones regulate most of the body’s biochemical functions.

Pancreas. Note the exocrine pancreas and the Islets of Langerhan’s also known as the Pancreatic Islets. Which part of the pancreas is endocrine? Label the two cells of the Pancreatic Islet: the alpha and beta cells (you cannot tell them apart unless especially stained). Also, include the delta cells. They produce somatostatin. What does this hormone do?
Chemical classification of hormones. Give exact examples and compare hydrophobic and hydrophylic hormones. Include the criteria: way of transportation in the bloodstream, receptor location, the need for secondary messenger (with justification), final effect upon the enzymes, type of enzyme activity regulation (fast or slow).
Need answer of it.
