Difference between the type I and type IIb fibers containing cells should be determined.

Concept introduction:

There are two types of skeletal muscle fibers, which are slow-twitch (type I) fibers, and fast twitch fibers (type II). The function of type I fibers is to perform activities of long duration, such as running for long distance, whereas, the function of type II fibers is in powerful and sudden movements, such as in sprinting. These fibers fatigue much faster than the type I fibers.
