Explanation of Solution
Introduction:
Photoelectric effect demonstrated that photon has kinetic energy even if it has no mass. Compton effect verified that photon has momentum.
In Compton effect, photons are scattered by a target and the scattered photon have momentum and lower energy. Compton experiments verified photon is particle having energy and momentum. The photoelectric effect electrons are emitted from certain metal when photon of suitable frequency is incident on it. Photoelectric effect allows measurements of Planck's constant.
Conclusion:
In Photoelectric effects, conversion of light energy into electrical energy takes place. In Compton effect, scattering of photon occurs.
