Introduction:
An image is formed when light reflects from a surface being photographed and is captured by the photographic. For this silver halide can be used. Its structure changes when it is excited by light.
When a photon strikes a grain, energy is dissipated into the grain. If sufficient photons strike the grains in a given time, the grain shifts to latent state and sticks there. The darkness of the image depends on number of photons striking the film color. There are 3 layers of emulsion in the film for three types of silver halide that are sensitive to the light of three colors.
