Chapter 28, Problem 6TY
Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The Spongy parenchyma can be called the leaf tissue which consist loosely arranged and irregular shaped cells and these cells consist chloroplast. This Spongy parenchyma behaves like a space between the cells which helps in the facilitation and the circulation of the air and gases. It is present below the palisade layer and also called as spongy mesophyll. The spongy mesophyll helps in the exchange of gases which is required for the photosynthesis process.
