Summary Introduction

Energy is released from the redox reaction that is required for the functioning of the cell. However, the free energy is released by the coupled action of exergonic and redox reaction. This energy is trapped and conserved by the cell for its functions. The energy rich molecules such as phosphate or sulfur bonds accomplish the energy conservation.
